Hey Everyone!

I have been tossing up the idea of the letter from the heart prospecting idea.  Has anyone tried this?  If so what are the results you have experienced?  If you could provide us with maybe a template or a breakdown of exactly what you put in your letter that would be most appreciated.

Thanks very much!

Got cut off there... don't know what happened!

Do you mean, for example, putting a letter from the heart in a Homes magazine or something?

I've always thought LFH is strictly for people who know you - your sphere.

Hey Chuck!

What I was referring to was your direct sphere.  I am just unfamiliar with exactly what the contents of a letter from the heart is.  I have done some research to try and find out some answers but unfortunately have come up short.  Can you lend an example?

Joey,
I would strongly recommend a LFH as well as the EOS postcards. They are 2 very powerful contact points.
I have the letters on my computer at my office. I'd be happy to forward you several tomorrow.

I started by mailing (on the 15th of EVERY month) to a Top 100 list, since grown to a bit over 200 families now.

In mine, I simply share what's going on in my life, my family's life, what I'm thinking about at the time or maybe even something that's really bothering me. Many months it doesn't even mention real estate except for a short PS.

The purpose is to strengthen your relationships so people realize you are a trusted friend first, one who is willing to share the ups and downs of his life, and that you a Realtor (or Originator) by vocation. Once people know you and trust you as a close friend, and realize that we ALL have our "ups and downs" and that you think enough of them to share those, then they will grow to trust you in all aspects (including your vocation). I guess it amounts to truly internalizing the concept that we are not salespeople, but trusted friends who advise and consult in our area of expertise.

Very powerful concept!!  Make a commitment to start this month.
